Sustainable development is one of primary concerns at Columbus Monte-Carlo. Signatory of the national energy transition pact, we are increasing our efforts on behalf of the planet all year long, but especially during the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR).
In 2022, we participate with these initiatives:
UPCYCLING' WORKSHOP - OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC
We invite you to an upcycling workshop with a professional seamstress (Saïda SELMAOUI) on Wednesday 23 November from 3pm to 5pm: come with your old clothes or unsalvageable fabrics and transform them into pouches, bags, wipes, etc.
Free workshop, open to all, registration by simple email to ufabre@columbus.mc
On 26 November, we are observing BUY NOTHING DAY, communicating internally (employees and customers) and on social networks and encouraging our followers to do the same. Thank you for your support!
As part of the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR), we are organising a workshop on selective sorting for our staff, organised by the Société Monégasque d'Assainissement (SMA) on 21 November.
'FAST FASHION' AWARENESS WORKSHOP
On 22 November, we are organising an internal awareness-raising workshop for our staff:
Present figures on the production of clothes (water, waste, transport, etc)
Raising awareness of the impact of buying textiles
Ways/consideration for improvement and reduction of this over-consumption
